Dr. Oliver Thum is one of the founding Partners of Elvaston. Dr. Oliver Thum has more than 20 years of experience in private equity with a focus on technology buyouts, having worked in private equity almost exclusively throughout his career.

Before founding Elvaston, he worked at General Atlantic in Düsseldorf and London. Prior to this, Dr. Oliver Thum was a consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco.

He holds a PhD and MSc in Engineering-Economics Systems from Stanford University and an MA in Economics from Witten/Herdecke University.
